Without thought we bought them and opened them as soon as we got back to our car. First of all, they were expired by two days. We didn't notice that though until after we tried them.. they tasted stale and left a horrible after taste. The idea is great..

I was expecting a deep sweet barbeque flavor with the natural sweetness of Michigan cherries. First bite, all I can smell and taste is artificial smoke. As I chew, a very muted barbeque flavor.

At the very end I get a hint of very unnatural cherry flavor( come on it's suppose to be cherry from Michigan!). The crunch is spot on fantastic though! There is something very different about the tasted!

The cherry taste is barely there if at all in most of the chips. Hope it is just these two bags or the batch that SAMs received. Price was great for the size bag, & it was fuller then most other brand. I hate to scratch from my favorite list but they really are different & sadly not a taste we enjoy anymore. I generally love Great Lakes Potato Chips, so I will continue to recommend other flavors to friends and family. The Michigan Cherry BBQ Chips in this order had so little of the spices on it this time I questioned if it was a plain chip bag with a few Cherry BBQ Chips thrown in. I hope the company has resolved this problem since I crave the real deal.
